FAQ
What's coaching?
International Coaching Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Coaching with me is about rediscovering joy authentically. Together, we navigate challenges and unlock your unique journey. Find fulfillment by aligning with what truly matters. In a world that often expects conformity, I support you in reclaiming your deepest longings and navigating life’s direction with purpose.
What's not Coaching?
Coaching is distinctly different from mentoring, consulting, therapy, or counseling. Unlike mentoring, coaching doesn’t involve an expert providing solutions or direct advice. It’s not consulting, where a consultant offers specialized expertise and recommendations. Coaching is not therapy, which typically focuses on resolving past issues, nor is it counseling, which often deals with emotional well-being. Coaching may help address the above situations without dealing with them directly; however, they are not the primary focus of the coaching journey.
Coaching works as a partnership between coach and client, helping to clarify goals, dreams, values, and intentions in the client’s life. You discover new choices that lead to your desired shift. Coaching can help a person go beyond the mental blocks of what they thought was possible. It’s not about solving problems but rather looks at the whole person, emphasizing a holistic approach beyond specific issues.
Coaching is not about imposing change or forcing a predefined path. It’s not a rigid system or a one-size-fits-all approach. Unlike traditional methods that prioritize control, coaching with me is not a directive process. It does not involve telling you what to do or pressuring you into predefined solutions.
Coaching is a collaborative, forward-looking journey focused on exploring your unique path, fostering personal growth without providing direct solutions or advice. This process embraces life’s intelligence, allowing a natural alignment with your authentic self. It’s not a quick fix but a personalized experience of self-discovery and growth tailored to your individual needs and aspirations.
What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching and therapy share similarities but diverge in key aspects. In its simplest explanation, coaching emphasizes the present and future, while therapy encompasses the past, present, and future.
Coaching focuses on personal and professional growth; the primary focus is on evolving a manifestation of potential and healing may be a side effect.
Therapy, including psychotherapy and counseling, delves into emotional and behavioral conditions such as anxiety, depression, or trauma, with the goal of working through these challenges, aiming for healing and returning to the desired function.
You can find more information about therapy vs. coaching on the Co-Active site.
What's the difference between coaching and mentoring?
In mentoring, information and experiences are shared to aid the client’s growth, with direct questions from clients eliciting responses that contribute to their development.
In contrast, coaching involves coaches assisting clients in discovering their own answers, serving as a guiding compass throughout the process.

What coaching method do you use?
I follow the Co-Active coaching model. I’ve completed over 100 hours of rigorous training in the Co-Active Training Institute model and am certified as a Co-Active Coach.
Right now, I am completing my certification to become a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). You can find more information here.
What is Co-Active Coaching?
Co-Active coaching is a model that focuses on the whole person, not just the problem or goal. Its tried-and-true method—coaching the person, not just the topic—makes it exceptionally flexible. You can watch a short video describing the model here.
The model holds that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole; completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. They are not broken, they don’t need fixing. They have their own innate wisdom on how to live their lives.
The Co-Active coach comes from a place of authentic being. The job of a Co-Active coach is to ask powerful questions. It is also to listen and empower rather than instruct or advise to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses.
Guided by a Co-Active coach, you delve into exploring your values, strengths, passions, and vision, receiving support in aligning your actions with them. Here you can listen to one of my teachers Elisabeth talk about the doing and being aspects of Co-Active coaching.
Co-Active Coaching is collaborative, flexible, and empowering. It is the most widely used model in the coaching industry. The scientifically based methodology provides a simple, intuitive framework for human interaction that creates profound results.
The impact of Co-Active Coaching extends globally, influencing the lives and careers of numerous clients. The success of the Co-Active Model has positioned the Co-Active Training Institute as:
- The world’s first ICF-accredited coach training program
- The creator of the most widely used textbook in the industry, Co-Active Coaching
- Home to the largest number of certified coaches trained globally
- The creator of a powerful, innovative Co-Active Leadership Program that unlocks participants’ unique and natural leadership strengths.
Where in my life can coaching support me?
Anything and everything! Coaching encompasses a wide array of issues – essentially, anything that matters to you!
As a Co-Active coach, I have the tools and techniques to be there with you in each moment as you define what is true for you. My role is to guide you to make powerful, conscious choices that move you toward your dreams.
It’s important to note that coaches do not coach addictions, deep psychological wounds, abuse issues, suicidal tendencies, mental illness, etc. A professional coach knows when to refer their client to a therapist.
Coaches do not give financial, real estate, legal, or medical advice—a professional coach knows when to refer their client to experts in other professions.
Who can coaching benefit?
Absolutely everyone can benefit from coaching! In today’s fast-paced world, we’re often focused on tasks and results, leaving us craving connection and a sense of purpose. The desire to break free from life’s constant hustle and reclaim a life that is fulfilling and whole is universal.
Clients come with diverse aspirations – some aim for success in their careers, while others seek more meaningful relationships. There are also those with elusive goals they struggle to achieve independently.

Who are you & what's your professional story?
First of all, welcome and thanks for taking the time to get to know me. Born and raised in Istanbul, I moved to Stockholm in 2010, as a freshly graduated chemical engineer, to study sustainable tech and entrepreneurship. Since then, my life and 12+ years career has seen various pivots across diverse contexts.
After years of leading marketing teams at one of Europe’s largest gaming operators, I transitioned into roles in business and service design, design strategy and innovation at Stockholm’s remarkable design agencies. I’ve consulted for hypergrowth start-ups and multinational corporate giants such as Ericsson, H&M, and Volvo involving global teams and projects.
Delving into group and leadership development, I served teams as a licensed team development facilitator and briefly took organizational developer role at Klarna, Europe’s largest fintech company at the time.
Alongside my professional journey, I am a licensed yoga facilitator, somatic meditation and mindfulness teacher with many years of practise and studies in meditation, embodiment, self-inquiry, movement, somatic awareness & communication, guided by renowned teachers like Godfrey Devereux, Mia Lehndal and Satu Tuomela. I also lead meditation and mantra-singing circles, as well as sound journeys. You can find me sharing these practices in various yoga studios in Stockholm or course and retreat centers around Sweden.

What's your background and approach as a coach?
Since the spring of 2022, I’ve completed over 200 hours of rigorous training in the Co-Active Training Institute and am certified as a Co-Active Coach. Alongside the training, I’ve been coaching diverse clients.
This journey has been a true awakening, providing invaluable insights into self-awareness. I’ve witnessed first-hand how coaching can be a potent catalyst for change, in every part of being a human.
Right now, I am completing my certification to become a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). This requires 100 coaching hours.
Apart from my training in the Co-active framework, I have also been trained in somatic coaching and it has given a unique dimension to my coaching approach recognising clearly the wisdom that is inherent in our bodies.
I’m passionate about self-leadership, believing in the power of self-discovery. As a coach, my goal is to guide clients toward clarity in their journey. I offer support in taking ownership of life, gaining fresh perspectives, and stepping beyond comfort zones.
Think of me as a guiding light through life’s challenges and opportunities. As your coach, I won’t provide answers; instead, I’ll ask questions empowering you to uncover your distinctive path and your “why.”
Do you have any areas of focus in coaching?
I don’t have any specific areas of focus in coaching. However, drawing from a rich tapestry of experiences, I can support you with extra passion in areas like:
Finding fulfillment independent of external circumstances: Transcending the need for control, emphasizing alignment with your authentic self. Shifting from pressured change to embracing life, trusting its inherent intelligence to guide your unique path.
Embracing life’s unpredictability: Navigating complexity, unknowns, uncertainty and finding comfort in not always having all the answers Addressing the fears and resistance that naturally accompany these challenges by fostering resilience.
Holistic growth: Guiding you to unleash your leadership potential, integrate and harmonise personal and professional aspirations, explore and navigate meaningful career transitions.
I've never experienced coaching before. Where do I start?
To kickstart your coaching journey, begin by booking a free intro session. This is our chance to connect, discuss your expectations from coaching, and explore how I can support you as your trusted partner.
If we align and coaching resonates with your needs, we’ll determine the number of sessions (minimum 6) and schedule your first session. During our regular bi-weekly meetings, you lead the way by selecting the topics you’d like to explore.
How often do we meet? Is there a minimum session commitment?
When you sign up, you commit to a minimum of three months. Each month includes two coaching sessions, typically spaced two weeks apart. Each session lasts up to 60 minutes.
You as the client are responsible for scheduling these sessions according to mutual convenience. Unused sessions don’t roll over to the next month and they are not refunded.
Following our initially agreed commitment, there is an option to continue the arrangement on a month-by-month basis.
If you need to reschedule a session, please give me at least 24 hours’ notice by emailing me. See the FAQ on the 24-hour cancellation policy for more details.
how much does it cost?
I’m currently offering coaching sessions at a significant discount for a limited time during my certification. These sessions are based on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale. Payments are done in advance either for the whole package or per month before the start of each month. We agree on the amount you are willing to pay at the end of our introductory call.
It’s important to understand something that my experience, as well as the insights from seasoned coaches, have highlighted: the amount you invest in a service significantly influences your perception of its value, and your engagement and commitment to the process. For your benefit, the value you invest should align with the value you seek from the coaching.
Consider this: how much are you willing to invest in a service that could potentially transform your life? At the end of our intro call, I encourage you to reflect on this question: “What is an amount that represents a meaningful investment for me, yet is still within my means?” This inquiry is crucial for setting the stage for your coaching experience.
That being said, I want to make this accessible for as many people as possible, so if the cost is a bit much, let’s talk about finding an amount that works better for you. My commitment is to work with you to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder your growth journey as I am grow my coaching muscles.
What's your cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule a session, please give me at least 24 hours’ notice by emailing me. Providing less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation will count as a paid session. The only exceptions are health emergencies.
Our sessions should always start promptly at the agreed time. If you have not joined the call within five minutes of the agreed time, I will try to contact you. If I can reach you and you want to go ahead with the coaching, we will still coach for the remainder of the session. However, if I cannot reach you, it will count as a cancellation, and you will be liable to pay for the session in full. The latest I will start a session after the agreed time is 15 minutes and you will forfeit the time for which you are late.
When and where do the coaching sessions happen?
I work full-time, so I am available for sessions before or after work, or on weekends.
The coaching sessions will be through Google video or voice calls. In instances where we are both available in person, they can take place face-to-face in Stockholm.
If you prefer to reserve a coaching room, I can arrange it at one of the Coachhuset Mötesrum locations (subject to availability). There is a non-refundable room booking fee of 150 kronor for this service, which you cover at the time of booking.
How do you handle privacy?
I will hold all our interactions, phone or written, in confidence. Exceptions to this may include any expressed intent to harm yourself or others or disclosure of legal activity where my knowledge could make me an accomplice.
